Yet another outfit that’s made up of all thrifted/discounted pieces!  This look is centered around this 1950’s smoking jacket that I got from a store called Serendipity Boutique in Boise for around $25!

As you all know by now I LOVE vintage pieces. This one is no exception. It’s a maroon corduroy oversized jacket lined with (I believe) real silk around the collar and on the cuffs. Obsessed is an understatement.

Because the jacket is the focus of this outfit I added monochrome colors to keep the look simple. This real (washable silk) top I got from a thrift store for about $8 Brand new! I love it because its a great basic, but also unique because of the silk. Its perfect for my style because its comfortable but classy! Literally tho its SO soft!

The Details:

My safety pin necklace was from ASOS ( no longer available but one could easily DIY it ) and I’m in love with it! I literally wear it every day! It’s so simple, easy to put on and looks good with every outfit! I also added these Diamond shaped earrings I got from a thrift store. I enjoy how simple they are but how they jazz up any look. And I’m wearing my new favorite belt also I got from a thrift store for a dollarI

These Guess Jeans I purchased from a thrift store for only $5! Are you kidding me? They are the perfect black high waisted jeans. They were a bit to long at the bottom so I chopped off a few inches and frayed the edges to make them more modern.

To end the outfit I threw on these White loafers. I’ve recently been all about white shoes. Which doesn’t make sense because I am a mess and can’t keep anything clean, let alone freaking White shoes! But nevertheless, still prefer white shoes over any others!

If you get a chance you should really check out the store Serendipity Boutique! I love their Store because it’s well organized, has lots of great pieces from many eras, and they have AMAZING prices. The lady’s who work there are very helpful and are super sweet! ( click here for their website )

As you all know yesterday was national woman’s day! SO in honor of that I want to share what being a Modern Woman means to me!

“Our generation is becoming so busy trying to prove that women can do what men can do, that women are losing their uniqueness. Women weren’t created to do everything a man can do Women were created to do everything a man cant!”  ( Thank you sister for the quote )

By saying we need to do everything men and women can do, and do it better, is saying that everyone is not unique and that we all need to be EVERYTHING and if we cant do that we are blind, weak, or sexist. In my opinion we were all made to do specific things on this earth. Just think if your pointy finger one day decided it wanted to run your heart instead of be what it was created to be. first off it would ruin the whole makeup of your body. Second, not only would you no longer have a pointer finger but your finger would disrupt your heart by trying to overtake / run it. In short you would be dead! Each person is made intentionally for whats put in front of them and its vital that they do it the best of their ability. And use that ability to promote self love and equal Love for everyone! NO job is better than another, we need everyone to be who they were created to be, and to love! Be a Boss, set goals, and reach them! Be a politician, be in fashion, be a doctor, run a country, But do it all in love!

So on National Women’s day I chose to be the best I can be, in what it set before me. To love myself, know my worth, and to love others unconditionally. To not think myself higher or lower than anyone and to encourage others to do the same. No matter what gender, race, what they do or don’t believe. Because I CHOSE to view others how God does. Its says “for God so loved the WORLD,”

NOT

“For God so loved the Christians”

” For God so loved the Good People”

“For God so loved the Republicans”

“For God so loved the ones who believe the same thing”

“For God so loved the ones who make over $25,000 a year”

” For God so loved the Men”

” For God so loved the Women”

NO

” God so loved the WORLD, That he gave “

Meaning he loves us all as equals

I hope you all enjoyed this look and will join with me in loving ourselves and others.
