This second post is all about decluttering my closet!
So fun.
When decluttering my closet, what I do first, is go on Pinterest screenshot a bunch of photos of outfits that inspire me and that represent the style I want to express. then I head over to the app Moldiv and put them into a collage. Giving a birds-eye view on my goal. Then I study it a bit… Looking for color patterns, textures, and fits. After, I start going through my closet and see what items I already have that go with that style, pull them out, and style them a couple different ways. This shows one, what great things we already have in our closet. Be thankful and make use of what you have before starting all over again.
Then, now that I’ve found some pieces I have already that I love, Go through the rest of the closet.
First…
Take.
Out.
Everything.
This will help you make better decisions and will make it more satisfying in the end. Trust me!
If you are unsure on an item, try it on..if your not LOVING IT don’t keep it cuz if you don’t love it on you now, you probably won’t enjoy it on you later down the road.
If you want to clean out your closet with me, here’s a video of me doing the whole process on camera. Just like the last video, I love watching closet clean outs! Gets me on the ball, makes me work faster and clear out all those old rags.
After I’m done clearing it out, I sell the clothes on Depop (link here ) and Poshmark (link here).
Or I’ll bring them to a consignment store. Such as Serendipity Boutique. Any way to get rid of them! And if there are items that aren’t nice enough to sell, I take them to Savers and get a coupon.
After clearing out your closet you should feel so much more peace, and a knowing from now on, you’re only going to be wearing clothes you love. No more, UGH I hate this outfit! na ah no more! You also won’t have to think as hard when choosing an outfit for the day, giving you more time to think, dream and plan for the life that you want!
