This outfit is my go-to “I have no time to get dressed so I’m going to throw on a shirt and jeans” outfit. We all have busy lives, late nights and struggle with mornings every now and then. And as far as I know, most girls on these types of days don’t like to take a lot of time figuring out what to wear. So having a ‘go-to’ outfit similar to this one is crucial! It can be as simple as a grey t-shirt, black jeans, a pink sweater, or your favorite graphic T. Something somewhat basic so that when you wanna change it up you can add different accessories to make it look like a whole new outfit every time.
The way you take a button up shirt and a pair of jeans to the next level is by adding elements of your personality. Which in my case, was a pair of bright red heels and a vintage snake skin purse. But that may not be your thing, maybe it’s a pair of sparkly booties, a bold necklace, bright pink lipstick, or even a big fluffy fur jacket. The options of items you can add to this outfit are endless!
The light blue button up that I’m wearing is actually a Christian Dior Pajama shirt that I found at a thrift store for only $1! I was ecstatic when I found it! It’s the perfect shade of blue, very classic, and it has a large pointed collar, which is what makes me think that it’s a pajama shirt, kinda has that look. The jeans I’m wearing are just basic high waisted jeans from Asos. For your ‘go-to’ outfit, it may be black jeans, bell bottoms, low rise or even slacks. But my favorite was high waisted boyfriend jeans.
I added these bright red, chunky ballerina heels to add a bit of color to this more monochrome look. As you might have noticed, I wear a lot of short chunky heels. I personally think these kinds of shoes are the best for being comfortable but add class and sophistication to your look. And thankfully, you can find these shoes just about anywhere for really good prices and in a variety of different styles and colors to match anyone’s look.
I enjoy having neutral colors, but I always like to add a pop of color or texture. The color was obviously added with the shoes, so to add texture, I paired this snake skin purse that’s from the 60’s. It adds the perfect amount of texture to this very soft look. As always, I love adding a vintage touch. It adds character and class.
