Part three of starting the new year right!

Welcome to the third and final post for starting this new year on a good note.

Today, I’m gonna take you shopping at my fav spot ‘serendipity boutique’ and show you how to find those pieces to fill the holes in your closet.
Serendipity Boutique is my favorite shop here in the treasure valley because not only do they have amazing, affordable items in their store, but the ladies are so sweet and helpful! They also consign. So the items that you cleared out of your closet you can bring them in and if they sell, you get a great percentage of what they sell it for!

Why shop second hand when you could go to H&M and find a bunch of stuff you might ask? Well, my reasons why not are these:
If you don’t believe me, that’s ok. But you. Will. Save. Money! You can get so much bang for your buck and can truly find items that give you the style you’ve been dreaming of.
Second, I know not a lot of people don’t care about this aspect but really. Clothes are the second most polluting industry in our world second to Oil.

“What does that have to do with it?” You may wonder.

Basically, the more we buy from companies that mass produce, the more clothes that they make = more clothes that will end up in places other than our closets or even thrift stores. A very low percentage of clothes go to thrift stores.


Third, By shopping locally ( boutiques & locally owned thrift stores) you are supporting local businesses. People of H&M DON’T NEED YOUR MONEY! But buying from local businesses helps out your neighbors and fellow entrepreneurs that are living their dream.


When you shop after clearing out your wardrobe, make sure to have a clear idea on what you’re looking for. Second-hand shopping could be exciting and you’ll end up buying more stuff you don’t truly love. so keep that college we made on Moldive last week, and bring it with you. After trying on an outfit look at the college and see if the outfit fits in the picture. If it doesn’t, think again before you buy it. And be patient! Sometimes it takes a few days to find that perfect piece. But I promise you, It will come!


Items I was on the hunt for we’re tops that would go well with any pair of pants. Casual but still fashionable. Also, I’ve been in love with dresses and skirts lately so a few more of those to wear for special occasions. Then the last thing was black cozy leggings.
