As many of you might know, I’m an avid vintage/thrift store shopper. And when I was in MN visiting my grandparents, I went ham at the local antique store. I mainly got home decor items, but when I started chatting with the owner, she showed me a back room where I found this Amazing 1920’s London Fog coat. London Fog was started in 1923, and were made known by making the marines waterproof coats/jackets during WW2. Because of the ‘Art Deco” detailing on the buttons my assumption is that its from the early years of the brand.

You’ve Probably seen this shirt everywhere. Its from H&M for only $20! I really enjoy it because its a simple piece but it adds a vintage feel with the faux corset detail. Just about everyone owns this shirt( or one similar) and my goal for this outfit is to inspire you to wear it in a way that reflects your style! To make this outfit “Me”  I added the London fog Coat. As you all know I have an old soul which comes out in my style. And in this case I call it Vintage made knew! Made modern. Made me.

I added these olive green snake skin mules to continue with the vintage feel. I got these this past summer from Urban Outfitters in the sale. ( Click here to shop ) The bag I got from target on sale for only $10! What a steal! I don’t often buy bags because I’m quite picky, so I was thrilled to find one that I not only loved, but could afford!

Make It Shine. Make it You

Make it you, by taking out the black jeans and replace them with light wash mom jeans or a mini skirt. You could substitute the green coat with a leather jacket, a cozy cardigan or a sequins cropped jacket. Or switch out the shoes with sneakers, combat boots, or pink booties. Add some pizzazz with some statement jewelry, a wide brimmed hat, or a backpack.
