– Vintage Smoking Suit –

This outfit my mum calls my smoking suit, no I don’t smoke but this shirt is the style of a vintage “smoking jacket”, and this style of loafer are “smoking slippers” so in the olden days this would be considered a “smoking suit”. And I’m totally digging the look of it. I love anything retro, so this outfit is perfect.

This top is so classy! And I’ve always loved the look of silk shirts. They are so elegant, comfortable and make such a bold statement. This one I instantly fell in love with when I saw it online on Asos (it was on sale). This mustard yellow color is one of my favorites and I’m all in on the vintage sleepwear trend! So I really don’t know how I could love it more.

I paired the blouse with simple black skinny jeans, to add to the casual look. Not overdone and neutral.

The shoes are a long story as you might know if you watch my instagram stories. It’s taken about a month to get these shoes! I had a problem with the sizes so I had to order them 3 times. But even after all that conundrum, they are my new go-to slip on shoes, and I couldn’t ask for a better pair! The quote really is true “All things work together for good”. I’m quite glad I had to go through all of that because I ended up getting a pair that are better quality than the first.

The necklace I’m wearing adds the perfect simplest touch, not a lot going on with it but pulls the look together! I wanted to keep the outfit simple and easy to duplicate, so that’s why I added just the simple necklace, but the nice thing about this shirt is it already has great detailing with the black piping, so you could definitely go without jewelry. And you could also add a bold chunky necklace if that is what you prefer!
