I centered my outfit around this late 60’s button up duster that I found at a secondhand sale for around $10, which is an amazing price for a vintage item nowadays! The color and cut of this piece is what made me instantly fall in love with it!

To squeeze the last drops of summer, I paired the duster with these tropical leaf print trousers that I bought from H&M a while back. They are a little too big for me, so I tied a black belt into a bow to accentuate my waistline.

And to neutralize all of the bright colors, I added a light blue cropped tank top and also my beloved chunky kitten heels. To finish the look, I included this bomb silver coin necklace

The significance of this outfit is that I wore it for myself. I’m guilty (as are many) of dressing for others. When getting dressed, I used to think ahead, wondering if it was trendy enough or if it was good enough for other people’s standards. But when I decided to wear an outfit that I truly adored, It was very freeing.

When you wear an outfit that you truly love and that speaks who you are, you shine a lot brighter than if you wear an outfit that you don’t like or don’t feel good in. So wear what YOU love and don’t EVER dwell on what other people think. Rock you because you are the most perfect you there could ever be. And no one can steal that away from you!
